A dazzling collection of ancient and contemporary art Villa Yin fuses elements of classic Thai design with a dazzling collection of ancient and contemporary art, including 14th and 15th century Thai Buddhas, ancient Burmese gongs, and modern works by artists Xiu Ciu Wen and David LaChapelle.

Captivating interiors are adorned with antiques from across Asia and a daring, carefully curated art collection featuring pieces as diverse as the instantly recognizable pop art of Andy Warhol to the compelling human struggles depicted by contemporary Chinese artist Shi Lifeng.

The living room is decorated with a Ciu Xiuwen photo called “Angel No. 5” and “Wanted Dog,” a pair of bull terrier sculptures, one jet black and one gold, by the European artist Aurele.

Suspended from the very high ceiling is a Sharon Marston contemporary chandelier; a cascade of fibre-optic filaments with red and yellow accents.

In the dining room is a Zhu Yi Yong painting, “No. 10,” a smiling child making a cat’s cradle out of red string. In the master bedroom, the headboard is a four foot tall triangle shaped Thai wood carving dating to the 18th or 19th century.

Stylish and comfortable bedrooms with fantastic sea views

Master Bedroom

Entering the suite is like stepping inside a treasure chest: furnishings are in vibrant red and black, and design accents include painted bamboo stalks, sculptures and original artwork. In the main bedroom suite you will find a king sized bed, flat-screen TV and daybed.

Sliding doors open to a covered balcony. The en suite bathroom features an iridescent-beaded bathtub set under a bold black chandelier.

Red double doors lead to a large private study.

On the wide terrace in front is an outdoor tub for a sea-view soak, while just behind is a walled garden space with a double massage bed.
Orange and Blue Guest Bedrooms

Both of these queen-bedded rooms are of similar size and design, each with a bright color theme of orange or blue and quirky hanging ‘bubble’ chairs.

Large glass doors slide open to furnished sea-view balconies and brighten up the rooms with natural light. Both rooms have en suite bathrooms with iridescent-pebbled walls, showers and single basins.

Guest Bedroom Pavilion Perfect for couples or small families who cherish their privacy, this top-level pavilion houses a bright bedroom furnished with a king-sized bed, and a spacious peak-ceiling living room.

In the living room is an elegant daybed (converting to a king-size bed to create a fifth bedroom on request), a TV entertainment unit, a minibar, microwave and fridge.

The lavish shared bathroom is an oasis for relaxation with its bath tub, large shower and double vanity. Extending across the pavilion’s front is a wide terrace with views galore, furnished with sunbeds and two poly-rattan sofas.
